A Ginjinha Espinheira
Baixa
Francisco Espinheira opened this closet-sized bar on Largo de São Domingos in 1840, serving a single drink: ginjinha, sour cherries steeped in aguardente and sugar and poured straight from the barrel behind the counter. There are no seats and little menu beyond the choice of the drink with or without fruit, a formula the shop has kept largely unchanged for nearly two centuries.
Best for — original ginjinha cherry liqueur
