Alsancak Dostlar Fırını

Alsancak Dostlar Fırını has rolled out paper-thin, lard-free boyoz from the same Alsancak corner for roughly a century, following a recipe Sephardic Jewish bakers brought to İzmir generations ago. Trays come out dusted with powdered sugar or filled with spinach and cheese, and locals still queue before the morning rush.
