Bäckerei Brandl

Founded by Alois Brandl in 1891 and now run by fourth-generation baker Franz Brandl, this family bakery opened Austria's first glass-walled display bakery in 2006 so customers could watch bread being made by hand. Known locally for its Brandl-Semmel rolls and Topfentascherl pastries, the bakery also runs its own beekeeping project and hosts baking courses for local schoolchildren.
