Bia Makgeolli (비아막걸리 / 비아탁주)

Brewing in the Bia neighborhood of Gwangju's Gwangsan district since 1963, this takju house ferments rice into the cloudy, lightly sparkling makgeolli that locals treat as the city's own. Six decades on, the unfiltered rice wine is still bottled and shipped under the Bia name.
