Choi Yeong-hwa Bread (최영화빵)
Hwango-dong, Bukjeong-ro
Opened in 1937 and now in its fourth generation, Choi Yeong-hwa is billed as Gyeongju's oldest bakery and the maker of the city's red-bean gyeongju-ppang. Boxes of twenty or thirty pastries are wrapped fresh at the Hwango-dong shop for visitors to the old Silla capital.
