The last indigo dyehouse of seventeen that once worked in Gujo Hachiman, run by the Watanabe family since 1580 and now in its fifteenth generation. It hand-paints koinobori carp streamers by the kachin resist method and dyes noren, happi coats, scarves and bags in natural indigo.
