Hachijo Mingei Yamashita

Yamashita weaves Kihachijo from pure silk colored with island plant dyes-safflower yellow, tabu-bark brown, and oak-bark black-and sells finished cloth and goods. The shop also bakes Kihachijo sables and runs a small inn for visitors who come to see the loom.
