Ho Yan Hor herbal tea was formulated by Dr Ho Kai Cheong in the early 1940s and became the founding product of Hovid, the pharmaceutical company his son later built with manufacturing plants in Ipoh and nearby Chemor. The herbal tea sachets are still produced today, and Hovid keeps the brand's history on display at its Ho Yan Hor Museum in Ipoh.
