Honke Chichiya steams the tea-flavored and two-tone bean-paste manju that have been sold around the Yubatake hot-spring field for generations, running three small outlets within the resort town. Its newer Chichiya Baum, a castella-style cake with a coarse-sugar crust, has become a companion souvenir to the original buns.
