Imari Toen

Imari Toen was founded in 1968 by ceramicist Kaneko Sadao with designers Chitojin and Eiji Okamoto shaping its early output, built around a stated refusal to cut corners as the wider industry moved toward mass production. The company still runs its own Imari showroom and presents its work bilingually rather than through a tourism intermediary.
