Hand-rolled, hand-painted ceramic beads from the old Karen Blixen coffee estate — Lady Susan Wood began with two women in a garden shed in 1975; today hundreds of Kenyan women, most of them single mothers, shape clay from Mount Kenya into jewelry sold worldwide. Fair-trade certified, tours through the workshop, fixed prices in the shop.
