Kohchosai Kosuga has worked bamboo into baskets, trays, and tea-ceremony utensils since 1898, training artisans in the splitting and weaving techniques the craft requires. Its Kyoto flagship, opened in 2011, sells both traditional forms and slimmer, contemporary redesigns built on the same joinery.
