Founded in 2016 by Jonathan Reyna and Carolina Leon, Kuyay makes bean-to-bar chocolate from native fine-flavor cacao grown for more than eighty years on the family's Quya farm in Jahuanga, Bagua Grande. Its award-winning bars pair Amazonas cacao with Peruvian ingredients such as Cusco salt, Junin pineapple and Huanuco goldenberries, and are sold through a Chachapoyas outlet.
