Patrick Loewert opened La Table Alsacienne in the center of Kaysersberg in 1985, and his son Christophe joined the bakery in 2012 to keep making bredele, coconut macarons and prize-winning jams. Loewert, a double world vice-champion jam maker, later opened a second shop, La Tour Gourmande, in Riquewihr.
