Lombok Pottery Studio

This family-run workshop sits in Dusun Adong, Penujak village, where Sasak potters have hand-built unglazed earthenware for generations by coiling and paddling clay rather than throwing it on a wheel, then firing pieces in open pits fueled by rice husks and straw. Visitors join the same process the studio uses for its terracotta jars, vases and tableware, alongside cooking and weaving sessions drawn from everyday Sasak village life.
