Founded in 2017, Looms of Ladakh traces its pashmina back to a women's self-help group in Chumur village on the Changthang plateau, describing itself as a herder-artisan-owned operation rather than a bought-in supply chain. The brand emerged from a partnership involving the then Leh Deputy Commissioner and works directly with the region's changra goat herders.
