Opened in Buxton in 1977 a mile from the Cape Hatteras Lighthouse, this surfer-run shop sells custom In the Eye surfboards shaped and glassed by founder Scott Busbey, plus bodyboards, skimboards and rentals. Carol Busbey, an accomplished seamstress, still handcrafts the shop's shirts and shorts as she has since its early days.
