Saiki Enka Honten has hand-built fireworks shells in Ichikawa Daimon for roughly 120 years and is credited locally as the originator of the elaborate Koshu-style fireworks displayed each August at the town's Shinmei Fireworks Festival. The company still designs, manufactures, and launches its own pyrotechnic programs from its workshop in a town ranked among Edo-era Japan's three great fireworks centers.
