Schocolat opened in 2007 to bring Belgian-style truffles and bon-bons to Leavenworth's Bavarian-themed downtown, and passed in January 2018 to Charissa DeMoss, who had apprenticed under founder Susie Johnson. The shop still hand-makes its chocolate on site rather than shipping in a wholesale line.
