Tatsumura Textile

Tatsumura Textile has woven brocade in Nishijin since 1894, when founder Heizo Tatsumura began reconstructing textile patterns held in the Shosoin imperial repository. The house went on to weave ceremonial cloth for imperial enthronements and collaborated with Christian Dior, work still referenced in its current jacquard collections.
