Wing Wah opened as a Yuen Long tea house in 1950 and became one of Hong Kong's defining mooncake makers, now producing traditional, icy and molten varieties alongside Chinese wedding cakes and preserved sausage. The company has developed more than 1,000 recipes since its founding, most still made to seasonal, small-batch schedules around festivals.
