Yellow Workshop

Luthier Hassan Laarousi builds guembris in small, medium and large sizes, carving the bodies from poplar, cedar, mahogany or walnut and heading them with dromedary skin and goat-gut strings. Some instruments add a Fishman pickup for amplified Gnaoua playing, and each one is made in Essaouira and shipped worldwide.
