Beijing’s 2026 system includes standard departure refunds, instant services, online purchasing and increasingly paperless processing. Participation remains retailer-specific. Confirm the applicable method before payment, keep the goods unused and accessible, and preserve the required documents until departure.

The final test is simple: the seller should be able to explain use, material, process and care without relying only on the institution’s age.

Choose the item whose institution can still answer practical questions in the present tense. Heritage becomes valuable when it clarifies the exact shoe, tea or study object rather than asking the buyer to accept continuity on faith.
