These terms govern use of ORBIS — The World Shopping Atlas ("ORBIS", "we", "us", the "Site"). They are written to explain the practical boundaries of this editorial directory without inventing services, contacts or commercial relationships that do not exist.

An editorial atlas, not a marketplace

ORBIS researches and organizes retailers, makers, markets and places by craft, geography and editorial judgment. ORBIS does not sell the goods it documents, process payments or act as an agent for a listed business. Purchases, visits and communications after leaving ORBIS are between you and the relevant third party.

Independent placement

No store pays to be included, ranked or featured in ORBIS. Editorial descriptions, tavole and tiers express ORBIS judgment. The Google Ads conversion measurement disclosed in the Privacy Policy is operational measurement, not a paid placement and not an input to inclusion, ranking or editorial wording.

Accuracy and current information

ORBIS works to keep identities, addresses, status, official links and editorial facts accurate. Stores can move, close, change ownership or replace websites faster than any directory can update. Verify time-sensitive details with the accountable destination before making a special trip or purchase.

External destinations

Official, social, reference and Amazon links open third-party services governed by their own terms and policies. A link records an editorially useful destination; it is not a warranty, endorsement or guarantee that a business, product, price or opening hour is still available.

Responsible use

You may browse, link to and share public ORBIS pages for ordinary personal and editorial use. Do not systematically scrape, mirror or republish the registry or a substantial portion of its authored content, place excessive automated load on the Site, attempt to bypass access controls or misrepresent ORBIS content as your own.

Intellectual property

The original editorial text, curation, design and organization of ORBIS belong to ORBIS and its operator. Store and brand names, marks and other third-party material remain the property of their respective owners and are used for identification and editorial reference.

No warranty

The Site is provided "as is" and "as available." To the extent permitted by applicable law, ORBIS makes no warranty that every page, link or third-party fact will be complete, current or continuously available.

Limitation of responsibility

To the extent permitted by applicable law, ORBIS is not responsible for losses caused by reliance on stale third-party information, an external destination or a transaction with a listed business. Nothing in these terms limits rights or remedies that cannot lawfully be limited.

Changes to these terms

We may update these terms as the Atlas and its services evolve. The date above identifies the version generated with the current ORBIS release.
