- Lord Stow's Bakery Macau
British pharmacist Andrew Stow opened Macau's first Western-style roadside bakery on Coloane Island on 15 September 1989, adapting Portugal's pasteis de nata into what became the Macau-style Portuguese egg tart. Stow received Macau's Medal of Tourism Merit in 2006 for the recipe, and his family still bakes it from the original formula at the same island bakery. store page → · open in the atlas →

- Choi Heong Yuen Bakery Macau
A century-old Macau institution, Choi Heong Yuen still charcoal-bakes its almond cakes in wooden barrels, slow-roasting premium almonds for their signature character. Its counters also hand-roll phoenix egg rolls in pork-jerky and seaweed variations, alongside walnut and cashew cookies sold as classic Macau souvenirs. store page → · open in the atlas →
