Rome / Via Condotti / Online

Opened in 1946 at 61A Via Condotti by Guglielmo Battistoni, a former Academy of Fine Arts student turned shirtmaker, this Rome atelier became an artists' gathering place from the 1950s — works by Picasso, Modigliani, Guttuso and Cocteau still hang on its walls — and dressed Marlon Brando and Andy Warhol.

Best for Roman dress shirts and tailoring.

This Via Roma storefront sells ceramic sea-turtle bracelets, hand-painted fish figurines and natural sea sponges pulled from the island's own sponge-diving tradition, alongside Lampedusa-branded t-shirts and nautical accessories. It runs a street counter and an online shop side by side, both stocked from the same local-craft inventory.
