House of Sunny started in 2011: designer Sunny Williams, who had previously worked as a tailor, began the label from a studio flat off Kingsland Road in Hackney, East London. Over roughly a decade it grew into a name carried by around 40 wholesale accounts including Liberty and Selfridges, with celebrity wearers such as Kendall Jenner, Bella Hadid and Dua Lipa. The brand's signature product is the 'Hockney' dress - a fitted knitted slip or midi dress carrying abstract swirl patterns inspired by David Hockney's artwork. House of Sunny describes itself as a slow-fashion operation, releasing two seasonal collections a year in limited runs.
