Avgoustinos Pottery Workshop — Cyprus

A self-taught potter has thrown and glazed at this workshop on the old Paphos-Limassol road for two decades, carving and slip-trailing pieces made in series or one of a kind. Visitors can wander in, watch pots take shape on the wheel and buy from the shelves, or try their own hand at the clay.

Emira Pottery — Cyprus

Founder Michael trained in ceramics in Famagusta in 1969, then rebuilt the workshop in Larnaca in 1987 after being displaced by the 1975 invasion, near the Church of St Lazarus. The studio still throws ancient-style, ecclesiastical, and modern pieces by hand and lets visitors watch or join the potters at work.

Kikis Pandechis Pottery — Cyprus

Kikis Pandechis Pottery carries three generations of ceramic craft from occupied Lapithos, where the founding grandfather first opened a workshop before the family rebuilt in Paramytha, near Limassol, after 1974. The workshop still runs factory tours through clay preparation, wheel-throwing and the kiln, and lets visitors shape and fire their own pieces.

Lemba Pottery — Cyprus

Lemba Pottery, at 18 Eleftherias Street in Lemba, Paphos, sells wheel-thrown and hand-built mugs, cups, kitchen jars, plates, bowls and decorative and exhibition pieces, with no two items in a set identical. The studio also teaches private and group wheel-throwing and hand-building classes.

Savvas Pottery — Cyprus

Founded in Paphos in 1976 by Savvas Georgiades and his son, this is a Cyprus pottery workshop, hand-painting classic grape and olive motifs alongside contemporary designs. Pieces can be bought at the Koloni workshop or shipped worldwide, and weekly wheel classes run for adults and children.

Studio Ceramics Cyprus — Cyprus

Studio Ceramics, at Aktenis 18 in Larnaca, sells handmade pottery including ancient-pottery replicas, medieval ceramics, jewellery and stoneware, and has taken part in the Bicommunal ceramic art exhibition and the 2nd Pancyprian Ceramic Festival.
