The Handknitting Association of Iceland has sold hand-knitted lopapeysur and other 100% Icelandic wool garments since 1977, from two shops in Reykjavík. It also stocks the association's own yarns, including Léttlopi, Plötulopi, Álafosslopi and Kemba.
Kiosk Grandi at Grandagarður 35 in Reykjavík stocks a varied selection from Icelandic designers ranging from perfumes to wool sweaters, carrying labels including BAHNS, EYGLO, HLÍN REYKDAL and Andrea Maack. It was named Best Fashion Boutique in 2024 by Reykjavík Grapevine.
Founded in 1940, Rammagerðin gathers Icelandic design into a Reykjavík gift house, including lopapeysur, jewellery, lava ceramics, fish-leather goods and cosmetics from Icelandic makers. Its range spans handmade wool sweaters, ceramics and design from more than 100 Icelandic designers.
This knitters' cooperative sells lopapeysa sweaters and accessories hand-knitted from 100% Icelandic wool, plus the yarn to make your own. Its shops are on Skolavordustigur and Borgartun.
KIDKA knits Icelandic wool into sweaters, cardigans, ponchos, hats, mittens, socks and blankets at its factory in Hvammstangi, alongside horse rugs and saddle pads. All items are made in Iceland from Icelandic wool.
