Craft Cottage at Doongalik Studios

Craft Cottage is a shop in the garden of Doongalik Studios on Village Road in Nassau, offering work by Bahamian makers. Its range includes handmade jewellery and painted glass, alongside straw bags and bath products such as soaps. This gives shoppers several ways to choose a small craft purchase without limiting the visit to framed artwork.

The surrounding Doongalik complex has a separate identity as an art gallery and a place for Bahamian cultural activity. Jackson Burnside and his wife Pam established Doongalik in the 1970s to support Bahamian art and culture. The gallery occupies an older building with a garden, giving the Cottage a setting alongside the work shown there.
