Henry Jacques

Henry Jacques traces its beginning to the meeting of Henry Cremona and Yvette, the woman who became his wife. Together they built a house of perfume with the stated aim of preserving the beauty of life. The Maison has kept its independence. It maintains its own laboratory and atelier in Provence and a plot of land where it cultivates its own Rose de Mai. Anne-Lise Cremona speaks of Haute Parfumerie in the sense that Haute Couture is defined by the Chambre Syndicale. The criteria are bespoke creations made by hand in a French atelier that the house wholly owns, with traditional technique. The perfumes are mainly natural and composed from raw materials sourced worldwide. Ancestral extraction methods are used in the laboratory, without unnecessary dilution or synthetic notes. The range is organised as Les Classiques and Les Exceptions, the latter pairing perfumes so that each reveals the other. Le Sur-Mesure covers fully bespoke work, and the Collection de l'Atelier adds limited editions. Accessories include Les Boites a Parfums for display and HJ Voyage, a leather case carrying three fragrances. Boutiques operate in Paris, at Harrods in London, in Dubai and Abu Dhabi, and in Doha, Hong Kong, Kuala Lumpur, Singapore, Tokyo and Beverly Hills. The house also sells online through its own shop.
