Hermannsburg Potters

Hermannsburg Potters is a Western Arrarnta artists' collective in Hermannsburg, Central Australia, whose pottery tradition spans 30 years and draws on the landscape painting style of Albert Namatjira. Artists hand coil-pinch terracotta clay pots, decorate them with ceramic underglaze depicting local wildlife, memories of Country and community, then fire them to earthenware temperatures.
