Infinity Foods

Infinity Foods began as a small shop in 1971 and now trades from 25 North Road in Brighton. The business is a co-operative, democratically run by the people who work in it, and a share of each year's profits goes to charity. The bakery has been on site since 1976 and still bakes additive-free bread from organic ingredients. Beyond the loaves, the shop describes one of the widest selections of organic and natural vegetarian and vegan food in the region. An own-brand range covers muesli mixed in house, along with grains and pulses. Flours and dried fruit and nuts come in several pack sizes. The majority of products are certified organic by the Soil Association. All pre-packed foods are vegetarian, and the majority are suitable for vegans. The fruit and vegetable section is certified organic and sourced locally wherever possible, with sea freight preferred over air freight when imports are needed. Cruelty-free health and beauty products sit beside supplements, and a growing range of household refills encourages customers to reuse their packaging. The co-operative states that its values have been pivotal to its ethos for 50 years, and that connection to food remains its bottom line.
