What Izumo Mingei Shi is known for
Izumo Mingei Shi has hand-pulled washi paper in the Yakumo hills since the workshop building went up in 1933, carrying on techniques championed by Living National Treasure Eishiro Abe. Visitors can watch papermaking in progress and buy sheets, cards, and craft paper through the studio's dedicated online shop.
