Kamata Hakenshasha is a Japanese knife store with more than 800 types in stock, including blades in 33-layer VG10 Damascus steel and single-piece hand-forged knives. Founded in 1923 in Asakusa by Kosuke Kamata after the Great Kanto Earthquake, it has passed through four generations to descendants Masao, Seiichi and Yosuke, and marked its 100th anniversary; the shop is in the Kappabashi area of Taito-ku, Tokyo.
