Killarney Celtic Jewelry

Killarney Celtic Jewelry is a family run shop at 24 Main Street in Killarney, County Kerry, in the south of Ireland. The premises have housed a jeweller for over 120 years. The shop is now run by Rory Giles, a Kerryman with over 25 years in the trade in Killarney and on the Aran Islands. The shop sources and designs traditional Celtic jewellery from mostly local artists. All of the jewellery is made in Ireland. Claddagh rings and Celtic knot pieces come in sterling silver and gold, with birthstone versions of the Claddagh in both rings and earrings. Connemara marble, a stone found only in Ireland, is set in silver for pendants that are hand crafted in Killarney itself. Pewter barrettes and bronze pieces round out the cases. Alongside the traditional work sits the Ring of Kerry collection, a modern line created for the shop by local craftsman Paul Kelly. Its pendant is worked in sterling silver with a small band of 18ct gold. A diamond and an emerald are both set in 18ct gold. The designs take their inspiration from local landscapes and legends, and the shop describes each purchase as a piece of Killarney tradition carried home.
