La Casa Eoliana began with Francesca Parisi, who was born near Mount Etna and lived in Siena for twenty years before returning to her Sicilian roots. She founded the business on Lipari in 2011 as a concept store devoted to Sicilian culture. The current La Casa Eoliana Care line focuses on skincare and body products made by hand with natural ingredients. Its home on Lipari supplies both the setting and the vocabulary for the collection. Soapmaking provides a direct link between the products and the Aeolian Islands. The company says it has used a traditional cold-process method for fifteen years, followed by four to six weeks of curing. A seven-island series assigns a distinct formula to each island. Filicudi is paired with lemon and mint, Alicudi with prickly pear, Lipari with pumice, Salina with wine, Vulcano with sulphur, Panarea with jasmine, and Stromboli with activated charcoal. Together, the history and the soap series show how a specific island setting shapes both the formulas and their product names.
