Founded in 1755, the Masuichi-Ichimura sake brewery in the small town of Obuse crafts junmai sake using selected rice and old wooden-vat methods, its platinum-leaf sign marking the timber storefront. Bottles sell through the online shop and at the brewery's direct store, where the 'teppa' counter offers tastings and a chat with the toji.
