What National Handicraft Centre is known for

The National Handicraft Centre, founded in 1989 by the Government of Zimbabwe at 4 Grant Street, Harare, sells basketry, textiles, sculpture, pottery, stone and wood carvings, tribal masks and jewellery made using traditional methods, and links community producer groups, about 75% of them rural women, to the market. The centre has over 150 members and received first runner-up for Best Culture and Heritage Stand at the 2025 Sanganai Tourism Expo.
