What SAMSA is known for
SAMSA, a fair-trade shop hidden in a courtyard at Panská 33 near St Martin's Cathedral in Bratislava, has operated for about 20 years selling silver jewellery from Nepal, hand-dyed woven textiles, scarves, bags and incense sourced from Nepal, India and Indonesia. Its silver is cast over open flames into clay molds and its textiles are woven on centuries-old wooden looms; since 2008 it has sponsored Nepali children's education and post-earthquake relief.
