Streetwires Artist Collective

This artist collective bends galvanised wire and threads glass beads into sculptures, lampshades, animals and the beaded radios that made Cape Town wire art famous. Begun as a fair-trade project, it employs and trains artisans who work on the floor of the Shortmarket Street rooms.
