What Taku Smokeries is known for
This family-owned smokehouse and fishery has operated on the Gastineau Channel in downtown Juneau since 1989, smoking king salmon and halibut caught by local fishermen. The retail store, smokery and fish-processing plant all sit at the same waterfront site rather than being outsourced.
