What Uweza Art Gallery is known for
Uweza Art Gallery in Kibera's Olympic Estate began as an art program in 2011 and opened in a shipping container in 2013 before moving to a two-story house in January 2019; sixty percent of art sales go to the artists, or toward their education if under 18, with the rest supporting rent and materials. It now supports 20 young artists pursuing art professionally.
