This Athens route begins where making, fitting and museum context can be compared without surrendering the day to Plaka’s souvenir pressure. Makrygianni, Plaka and Kolonaki should feel like three different tests of the same object, not one continuous sales corridor.

Athens is best divided into a central walking day and a separate Kolonaki consultation block. Heat, hills, split retail hours and the time required for sandal fitting or fine jewellery make an overloaded route unreliable.

Morning — Makrygianni sandals and jewellery context

Begin at Melissinos Art, 16 Tzireon Street, only on a confirmed opening day. Current official information lists Tuesday to Saturday and closure on Monday and Sunday. Allow at least forty-five minutes for choosing, fitting and walking in the sandals.

Buy one object whose maker or house authorship you can describe. The point is not to collect variations of the same eye or key pattern.

Afternoon — Monastiraki with limits

Pause at Krinos for something to eat fresh. Let the food remain part of the route rather than turning every edible experience into a packing exercise.

Schedule a second morning or rested afternoon for LALAoUNIS, Zolotas, Korres or Apivita. Use official locators on the day because split Greek retail hours and seasonal changes matter.

Choose one consequential category. Fine jewellery needs an itemised specification and time away from the showroom. Skincare needs ingredient comparison and a realistic routine. Trying to do both deeply in the same hour weakens both decisions.

Food-shopping alternative

Use Ergon House or Yoleni’s for a labelled pantry comparison when Kolonaki jewellery is not the priority. Aristokratikon belongs only if its current door and the product’s ability to travel are confirmed.

With ninety minutes, protect the comparison
