The economic story
Port Arthur Economic Development Corporation describes job creation and investment as its central mission. Its Spur 93 page reports $70 million to $80 million in new capital investment associated with the business park and more than 300 acres ready for development.
Where to shop
FlagShip Mailroom & Emporium, the Mardi Gras of Southeast Texas Store and S & M Family Outlet are the locally distinctive stops in the selection. Boot Barn, Decorating Depot and TJ Maxx add workwear, home and value-shopping options.
Where the town eats
None of the six current Port Arthur doors is food-led. Plan the shopping route independently from lunch or dinner, using the visitor bureau’s broader food listings if a meal is part of the day.
Practical notes
The Mardi Gras store is seasonal, so check its opening window before traveling. The other stops are distributed across Highway 365, Memorial Boulevard and nearby commercial corridors, making a car the practical way to link them.
