Efficio is a workshop making everyday goods by hand from vegetable-tanned cowhide in the Uruguayan leather tradition: mate sets, asado and wine pieces, and bags, portfolios and small leather goods, produced in small personalized runs.
Matebom has made mates and bombillas in the same family workshop in Uruguay since 1973. It uses natural calabash gourds from the north of the country. An Italian immigrant who arrived in Uruguay at fourteen started the house after taking to mate.

Taller Aescala in Montevideo makes individual leather sculptures. The shop has worked since 1978 and lists series of Quijotes, carnival figures, fauna and characters in sole leather. The workshop is on 20 de Setiembre and invites visits.
