AGARVINA (Agarwood Vietnam Production Company) was established in 2013, built on more than 25 years of prior research into inducing agarwood formation in living Aquilaria crassna trees. Its R&D team holds a Vietnam Intellectual Property Office patent for a biological/probiotic culture method used to stimulate resin production in the plantation rather than relying on wild-harvested wood — the company manages roughly 1,100 hectares and some two million Aquilaria crassna trees across Vietnam's south-central provinces, including An Giang, Binh Phuoc, Ba Ria, Quang Nam, and Da Nang, with close to a million trees now yielding agarwood. Its showroom and processing facility sit in Thu Duc, Ho Chi Minh City, alongside additional processing sites in Binh Phuoc and Quang Nam. Production is certified to ISO, HACCP, and HALAL standards, and finished incense, oil, and agarwood goods reach more than a thousand retail and pharmacy outlets domestically, with exports into South Korea, Taiwan, and India. Where older tram huong houses depend on scarce wild resin, AGARVINA represents the plantation-science end of the same Vietnamese agarwood industry — an attempt to put a renewable footing under a material that has historically been stripped from wild forests faster than it can form.
