Amundsen Sports takes its name and its method from Roald Amundsen, who combined old knowledge with the newest technology of his day. The brand describes its own approach the same way: traditional craftsmanship joined to modern materials. The point of reference is the Norwegian outdoor life, skiing in winter and sailing in summer. The clothing is meant to look as settled in the city as on the mountain. Fabrics come from Western European mills with long histories. A repair and warranty service backs the products. The Oslo brand store at Underhaugsveien 28 occupies a nineteenth-century home that also houses the company.
