L'Atelier du Gantier

Millau's glove history runs to the Middle Ages, when tanners and furriers built the industry on sheepskins supplied by the Roquefort cheese trade next door; this atelier positions itself as a direct continuation of that local chain, working first-quality Millau skins rather than imported stock.

Production stays in-house at 20 Rue Droite: leather is prepared through a wet stage, then cut, placed, and sewn with what the workshop describes as an English machine stitch, with each pair checked at the sample stage before finishing. The site states gloves are made "from A to Z in our workshop," and the range covers men's, women's, and children's leather gloves alongside belts and small accessories, with made-to-measure options for customers who want a specific fit.

It is a working atelier rather than a boutique presenting an outside collection: the same building handles cutting, sewing, and sale.
