What MK Studio is known for

MK Studio makes porcelain coffee cups and sensory vessels as well as pour-over drippers in a workshop in Glostrup outside Copenhagen. It sells them from a shop at Frederiksberg Alle 52. Founders Magdalena Kałużna-Włodarek, a ceramicist, and Michał Kałużny-Włodarek, a chef, design for cafés and restaurants as much as for home tables. The studio's B cup began as a 2016 World Brewers Cup competition cup.

MK Studio is a Copenhagen design and production studio founded by Magdalena Kałużna-Włodarek, a ceramicist, and Michał Kałużny-Włodarek, a chef. The two met in Poznań in Poland, and they now make porcelain coffee cups and sensory vessels, along with pour-over drippers and tableware for cafés and restaurants. The same pieces go to people who care how coffee and food are served at home. Every piece is developed and produced in the studio's own workshop in Glostrup, just outside Copenhagen, and sold from a shop at Frederiksberg Alle 52. Magdalena studied fine arts at Poznań University of Technology and domestic design at the School of Form. No design enters production without her review. Michał came to ceramics from restaurant kitchens including Relæ and Manfreds. He rebuilt the workshop's processes around CAD modelling and 3D printing together with digital mould design. In 2016 the studio made a competition cup for Mikaela Wallgren of Coffee Collective. She used it to finish runner-up at the World Brewers Cup in Dublin, and that shape became the studio's B cup. The same year the studio produced a full tableware collection for Restaurant 108 in Copenhagen.
